Drawing on our experiences as both citizens and designers, we were intrigued by the way the linearity of urban planning impacts individual lifestyles. Clearly, the evolution of city layouts fosters a semblance of order through meticulously arranged lines, squares, rectangles, and spheres to demarcate our living spaces. Our interest lies in investigating avenues for more humane and sustainable living within the rigid frameworks and legal boundaries of urban design. As designers, our goal is not to erect new edifices of restriction and planning, but rather to rethink the use of existing infrastructures, seeking to mitigate the rigidness of linearity. By shedding light on societal challenges like poverty neglect, social division, and congestion, we aim to introduce fresh ideas for reshaping our habitats.
